YaCy

YaCy is a decentralized software solution for internet, intranet or local searches, depending on your scenario decision.

It fully supports the users privacy by distributing search requests between peers of the YaCy network, preventing one central player to gain knowledge about your personal interests based on your queries.

The search engine does not set any cookies.

As YaCy fits into my target work area, I decided to setup an instance on my server.

My search engine is configured to answer search requests from other YaCy instances, but it does not request search results from those other instances.
